Let the coyotes loose in the chicken coop

Allright men! At Pacific Raceways in Kent Washington in the next 2 weeks theres going to be a meeting of the areas top import street racers for a track session. I'm organizing the thing through their website. Expect S2000's, BMW's, WRXes, and the odd boosted or swapped honda to show up. If you guys are in the mood to make a showing, let me know, and I'll post details. I would love to see some fast thirdgens facing off against their expensive hardware. Lets show em what torque is all about!

Getting street racers off the streets = good.

I have a feeling that they'll all be really disappointed in their times and just return to the streets though.

The street racers. The people who race on the streets. I don't think I can make it any more clear for you.

These guys arent too slow, I've run with them a few times. I'd say that anyone will be able to get a good run, their cars range from S2000's and M roadsters to civics and focusses. So wether you have an 11 second street monster, or a lo3 with the free mods and some headers you'll be able to find something to pick on. (an s2000 going down to a thirdgen would be great)

S2000's aren't very fast.

EDIT: Well, not in a straight line anyway.

yeah sounds like a good time but most average joes around me are just mild modded civics that run high 15's to 18's and love to race at that speed LOL i am sure alot of the guys there are the same way, just some punks that dont know how quick 14's are and think high 15s is fast. but i know there might be some serious guys there too

anyway, any one seriously wouldnt waste their time dragging a S2000. they are a much better platform for road racing and autoX. dragging is not there thing.

Plus you have to fry the clutch and break axles just to get a good time out of them. When your power band starts 300 rpm after a third gen would shift, it makes things a little tricky.

It's fast when you keep it in it's power band (6,000rpm to 9,000rpm), and it makes down right amazing power for the size of motor it has, but it's just not a good drag car unless you give it some more torque.

s2k's ARE pretty fast, they just dont feel that way. We test drove one with an aftermarket exhaust bolted on, and it felt like a civic down low, but then once you *finally* pulled up to vtec in second and third it started to pullllll...

there will probably be a couple of em at the meet, one with a "new" engine, dunno what thats all about, he had 8k into his old motor.

and theres gonna be some guys who have added forced induction and or nitrous over the winter, they're filling up with 110 and going for broke.

LOL Yea tell me about it. They come out to PR & BR ( I live in Washington state & race at the to local tracks) & try to race with the Car clubs but race once or twice then never show their faces. & heck we have guys that race Mini Vans when their car is not running & these guys cant compete with us.

It was funny I was running 14.7s in my car a couple summers ago & dialed in a 14.7 & the honda beside me posted a 14.6 & ran a 18 lol

well these guys run from the mid 15's to the low 11's depending on who is showing up. Watch out for the black s4's, theres 2 of em running MASSIVE boost.

Not neccesarily. If the kid showed up with NO trial runs, then maybe. Otherwise it just shows that someone missed a shift and then gave up.

It was a Pro Street. I wasn't anything odd that the door fell off, it barely had a door at all. Just it died before the 60 foot and then as they where pushing it back I think the released the hinge or something and the door came off.
