First 1/4 mile Run on new setup
I finally got a chance to run my car at the track. After having it for two years and dropping in a 350 to replace my 305 I got a chance to see what I accomplished. First off, I am at roughly 5000ft above sea level near Pueblo, Colorado. So this is not a sea level run. With my 305 I ran a16.3 with a broken tranny mount, and 81 TA wheels and big *** tires, cuz my tires wouldn't pass inspection and horible traction problems. LOL novice driver!!!!. Now I have the same drive train on 16's with 245/50R16 Falkens street tires. All i changed was the engine, tranny and rear-end are next.
Ok so anyways I have a 76 4bolt main hogged to 355, Stock crank, forged rods, forged speed pro flat tops, Ported and polished 90 Corvette Alum "113" heads with manley valves, Comp XE268 Flat tappet cam, TPI intake , SVO 24# injectors, PCMforless prom, Headman shortys, and 2.5 inch magnaflow cat back. Drive Train is WC T-5, 10bolth w/3.08s, with all that I musterd a 15.1 1/4 with a so so .313 reaction, and a 2.4 60' and trapped at 93.5 mph.
I know its nothing great but its a start, I went against a 98 WS6 which ran a 14.6 1/4, .135 reaction, and 2.4 60'. Just thought you would all like to know, Sorry it was a book. Peace out guys.

FWIW, that's 14.1ish @ 99.5 at sea level, per NHRA's correction factors (elevation only, not density altitude). http://www.nhra.com/tech_specs/altitude.html
Get those 60' times down, and you're easily in the 14's at altitude, 13's at sea level.

Aren't Vette castings 113's?
Did you fix that oil pump pickup yet?
I would think the stock TPI (at least you didn't mention any runners or porting modification) and 2.5" exhaust are holding you back, especially MPH.

Yeah they are 113 castings.
And my pick up is fine, my sending unit is messed again.
I need to get a better RT, and I need a new clutch also, its messing up. I'm gonna get a new one in a week or two. Then I'll take it again and see what I can run. I want at least high 14s
yeah stock tpi, SVO 24# injectors and AFPR is all on the intake, and yeah shortys to magnaflow with 2.5 exhaust.

Better gearing helps but I ran high 11's at 117 mph with 3.27 gears. I also had a 383 with about 500 HP.

I don't see much point in going to 3:73s right now, I do have a T56 in my garage that I'm gonna put in, but thats a pricy swap. And with my intake now, 3:73s I don't think would help much considdering I'm shifting at 4500. 3:42s would prolly work, but I don't really wanna put money into my 10bolt. I was thinking more like a strange 12
