Well its getting better

Well, I am a hair closer (and a hair away for that matter) to the 13's. My last time to the track had me running consistant at 14.1@97-98 mph. I did 2 back to back runs that time and the weather was in the 50's. my 60 never got better than 2.04.
Since then, I put an aluminum driveshaft, transgo kit, 3.73's, and drag radials. Heres what i did. 1.95 60' 14.055@97 1st run
Second run, 60 was the same, 14.07x@96.77(that slip flew out the window on the way home, i was pissed) and i only had a 20 minute cool down as opposed to the hour and a half i had before. Weather was mid-upper 80's humidity was about 55-60%

Here is the lo-down on the car

Engine : L98 w 131000 original miles
mods- Gutted airbox, KNNs, air foil, ported plenum, SLP runners,
Accell 23# injectors, Holley AFPR, MSD Coil, Accell wires cap and rotor.

Exhaust: Stock L98 manifolds, catco dual cat replacements, SLP loudmouth.

Trans: Rebuilt by previous owner, stock stall, transgo kit (installed by my mechanic), LS1 Aluminum driveshaft

Rear: SLP posi, Motive 3.73's, Reinforced diff cover.

Suspension: TDS wonderbar, Spohn SFC, BMR LCAs, PHB, STB, LCA relocation brackets and torque arm
and the tires, BFG DR's 255/50/16 mounted on stock 16x8's

So what ya guys think, should I be doing better? BTW the car has had no tuning done to it yet. The car is at full weight, ac works, so it stays, and stock ride height.
On a plus i did beat an 05 GT 5 spd on my second run.

Not bad times on stock manifolds. Little too deep of gears to be running with TPI, but it seems like you can launch VERY well with that stock converter.

Slap a set of headers on, welcome 13.8x

He is also running speed density, those dual cats help a bunch in the upper rpm.

i thought dual cats would be more restriction but those cars were rated alot more than single cats

thanx for the good words guys. I was thinkin bout a converter with more stall, i was figuring 22-2400 , dont want too much since i have the 3.73s I am also going to re-do the valvetrain. It needs new valve seals, so since ll be at that ill do the lifters, pushrods, springs and up to some 1.6 roller rockers. Its the stock valve train and im sure it has seen better days.
