8.48 N/a 305

I finally got my car to the track with the new motor. The first pass was a 8.48 @78 mph 1.80 60ft. My combo cosists of vortec 305 bottom end, lpe 211 cam, 1.6 rockers, ported sr 305's, big mouth base, edelbrock runners matched to the base, ported plenum, edelbrock headers, dynomax catback, 2800 stall, 3.73 gear my switch to a 3.42, 700 with trasn go kit, and et street radials on 15x10 pro stars. The car is an 87 formula. I also made a few nitrous passes but the car was way rich on the top it pulled a 1.66 60ft and ran 8.01@ 81mph. The car was leaving hard but would fall on its face. I guess it's time for some tuning.

Got a pic of your car?

What elevation are you at?

A 1.66 60ft, that is impressive!!

My best is a 1.896 with a 75 shot and bf drag radials.

The elevation is 1100ft.

The cam specs are duration @ .050 211in 219ex lift w/1.6 .530in .560 ex

I was out playing with the car yesterday and I leaned out the fuel jet some and it seems to pull better in 3rd. so hopefully this friday I can get some 7 sec passes

Edit.

Good runs!!

I think you are in need for a tune though. I ran 8.371 @ 80.09mph back before i lightend the car a bit and added the roller rockers.

Still a great start though
