trans tunnel mods
I have an 84, small block and a P/G. With the trans shield and convertor shield it get pretty tight and I have to lower the rear cross member to adjust the band. Has anyone modified the tunnel to make the install and maint any easier?
Thanks

I didn't have any problems with a PG with shield. I even have a flexplate shield. The PG is so small. Even when I had a TH400 with shield, I still had lots of room.
I now have problems but it isn't a tunnel problem. I had to lower my engine and tranny down for header clearance. I also moved the engine back about an inch. This cause problems trying to access the bellhousing bolts so I cut out the front part of the tunnel and fabricated a new one. It's all welded back in and sealed up. I might cut it out again to allow even more access.
