Does anyone on these forums run at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce GA? I need to get some new times but I don't know when thier 'test and tune' times are at.

I went down there in September and it was on friday night. Gates open at 6. http://www.atlantadragway.com/apcm/t...2711&zoneid=35
The track was awesome when I ran, but it was before an outlaw race so they had it preped pretty good.

Friday evenings have traditionally been their Test and Tune night. I went twice a couple summers ago and the track was slower than hell, and very very busy. Sat in the stage lane lines forever, only got a couple runs per night. Kinda ridiculous, it was hot as hell when I went too.

Either my Vortec headed 350 had some serious tune issues that night (along w/ everyone else, dusted some of the slowest LT1 cars I've ever seen...) or that track sucks some serious ***. Everything I've heard leans me toward it being a slowass track, only 1200ish ft above sea level so it shouldn't be that bad but I've heard nothing but bad times from there...

There is a track down near macon (Reynolds, Ga, Silver Dollar Dragway) that is supposed to be way less busy and I've heard can be as much as a half second faster than Atl Dragway (never been to SDR, can't substantiate that though). I've been wanting to take my new LT1 down there for awhile now. If you're not much farther away from SDR I've been told it's the better track to go to...

I've heard stories of Atlanta being kinda slippery at times, but it was hooking hard when I was there. Guess its all on how they prepped the track that night, and weither or not they are having a big race on saturday.
