Anyone with a similar combo?

Almost have it done and ready to make some shakedown passes. Just wondering if anyone's got a similar combo and what you've run. Here goes

'90 TA, carbed 383, got rid of the engine harness, , no power steering. It ought to be pretty light. Around 32-3300#.

Engine; Made 430@ the flywheel, short rods, 10.2:1, afr 195's, holley 650dp, perf. air gap intake,

Trans; 700 with 3000 stall, 4.10 gear. I'll need to go with more convertor, but for now that's what's in the car. 26.5" tires on stock GTA wheels.

Once I get the bugs worked out of it, i.e. right convertor, tire size, shift points and suspensoin tuning I'd like to get a 12.30-12.50 out of the car. I've seen some guys making less power running 12.50's with 350's and stock vortec heads, but I think they're BS.

I used to have a similar combo, I've gone through several changes since then though. It will depend a lot on what cam you have?(how well it matches the rest of your combo), traction and tuning.
Heres my old combo: 10.2:1 383 Dart Pro 1's(no porting), 225/230 dur@.05 .525lift cam, 3.73 gears, 750DP carb, RPM air gap, 26x10.5 ET streets, th-350 w/ 3500 stall, mostly stock suspension with 70/30 lakewood struts. I normally ran 12.2-12.3 and the best pass was a 12.02 with that combo. I think you should ge able to get into the low 12's with sticky tires and some tuning. It might be difficult to get your car to hook with the low first gear of the 700-R4 and 4.10 gears.

Thanks. The cam is real small duration wise, but it's matched to the heads well based on flow, static compression, etc., but it's still right around the size of a Hot Cam. It's tuned already, did that on the dyno before it went in the car. Just have to get the suspension dialed in.

my old 360 made 450hp@6600 and 405TQ@5000 on the dyno.
First time out it ran 12.75 @ 107. I did some weight reduction and then ran 12.30`s @ 111.

see the run here dragrun1

remember believe half of what u see and nothing of what u hear.
There is alot of BS on the web. Some spray their car and run good numbers they`ll tell u all day its NA because nitrous is naturally aspirated by the engine. They will never mention they`re also running nitrous.
