what to expect from a LB9 5speed?

i just aquired a mint 87' IROC-Z hardtop with the 5.0L TPI/5speed combo. it has all the goodies like G92 etc. im pretty good with manual cars at the strip and have posted some decent times with a 93' Vette 6speed and a 05' Sunfire 5speed. im guessing high 14s in good air with traps around 93mph

what do you guys think?

that should be about right.. if it low miles maybe a little quicker,, you got a smaller cam since its an 87.

if it's got the g92 package then it's got an l98 cam in it...i'd expect high 14's with great traction.

I looked into my crystal ball and it said with roughly a 2.0 60ft your car should run a 14.70 at 93mph.

I say 94 mph.. if you advance the ignition to 12-15* on 93 octane you may even see a 14.4-5 @ 95-96mph... Basic replacements will put you in the 13's.

underneath the center console lid is a list of options the car was ordered with. if your car has the package, the code "G92" should be listed
