OK guys I will be trying ot install the poly style seats in my car for the track so how did everyone do it? Any tips or thoughts on this. I dont want to make it so that I cant put my stock style seats back in it, so it has to be reversable. Thanks.

get some seat brackets off a set of stock seats, and if they bolt up that would be great, but most dont, so what i did, was weld 1/2"x2" square steel tubing to run through and go into the seat, then you should be able to bolt them right in..ill see if i can get some pictures of them, but heres a quick ms paint of what im talking about, hope this helps

My factory seat mounts and floor attachment points are long gone. My seat is attached to some aluminum brackets that are bolted to the floor and set back from where the factory seat normally sits. Under the floor is some channel iron welded to the SFC. The aluminum seat mounts are bolted through the channel iron.
To use the poly seats at the track, you need to install a rear brace which normally attaches to the crossbar of the roll bar/cage. Mine is a simple piece of metal welded to the crossbar and bolted to the seat. I've seen fancy adjustable setups that allow the seat to be adjusted and still retain a back brace.
Switching back and forth between a factory seat and a race seat could be difficult. Normally GM seats use the same bolt pattern on the underside of the seat but the bolt pattern on the floor will change from model to model. You could just as easily take a bucket seat out of a late model Buick and attach it to the third gen brackets. Find another set of third gen brackets. Bolt them in, only takes 4 bolts, and find some way to attach the poly seat to those brackets. You'll still need a rear back brace.

www.edquay.com They have seat mounts for the poly seats and the kirkley seats that are adjustable and bolt up in the stock location. I'll be purchasing the one for the kirkley seat real soon. Its in the online catalog for 82-92 camaro/firebird on page 7. Part #100-2150 for the driver side. #100-2155 for the passenger side mount.

What did the bracket end up looking like? Does it atleast use the stock stud mounts like they said it would? I havnt ordered the one for the kirkley seat yet. But its suppose to be an adjustable track type mount.

Here is a pic of the bracket
the bars across are proably like 3/4 angle, I have not measured them to be exact.

not exaclty becuase if you do tha then the seat is to far forward and to low. the kit came with 2 bars about 1/8x1x20 and they bolt to the seat and then that bolts to the bracket but still at that its way to low, for me anyway. I am proably just going to shim it up with some sort of metal that I have.

I mounted a Jaz seat today, I used 3/16 x 3/4 flat stock. I ran a strip across the rear of the seat from left to right, drilled the holes to line up with the seat and to sit on top of the factory sliding tracks. for the front I did the same thing except I needed to run two extra 4 inch pieces of flat stock at the ends heading foward to meet up to the stock seat track, they needed a little "s" bend very slight, just enough to clear the factory adjustment arm for foward and back. Now setting this onto the stock mounts puts the seat too high, I simply moved the seat and tracks back about 2 inches, this because of the way the floor pan dips brought the seat down a good 2 1/2 inches...just about right!
That part bolted to the original rear seat mounts is a crouch strap mount, it runs to the other mount and the 5 th point of the harness bolts into the middle of it.
