Is an 11.99 possible with a stock L98?
Im thinking about going with a stall converter and some drag radials to push this car into the 11's. Im not going to install a cage so 11.99 is my target. I got all my stats and mods on my page in the sig.
The car weighs 3400 with me in it, and im running a 4.10 gear.
Im looking for .4 seconds. What kind of stall and tires should i go with?
i want to use my 16x8 stock wheels.

new cage rule is 11.49 by the way. I'd shoot for a 2400 stall on that motor since you won't open it up for a different cam. You can try some 26x10.50 ET streets to mount on those 16x8 rims. If that won't do it since your 60' is already pretty good then I'd just up the spray or pull more weight out of the car. Have you done headers, etc already as well?

when you raced your car was it gutted ?? if not i would do that, front seat, back seats, rear pannelling, spare tire, the whole caboot. are you wanting to use tires just for the track ? or you want to use a drag radial ? i would go with a 3000 stall but thats just me

i got headers and exhaust with cutouts. I have the car on a diet with no back seats/belts, front sway bar, AC, radio, smog pump..
the car is about 3200 lbs. without my 250 lbs. in it. I think i have this car at its best et with the mods so far. Im just looking for every bit of et i can get.
I want a drag radial that will fit on my factory chrome wheels. (255 50 16's)
i don't want to change the way the car looks from the outside. Any other weight shaving ideas?
the car runs a 1.95-2.05 60' time consistantly on street tires

Yeah I think 11s can be touched with your car. Just try it with drag radials first before u pull the tranny to do a stall. .3 - .4 can be gained quickly if you got a 60 foot in the 1.7's
I am close to 12s ever since I put on drag radials and 2800 stall I am turning 1.7x's and running quick weather didnt affect my times just mph. The stall helps quite a bit but I still cant launch hard off the line because the car still will spin alot.

Take off that front sway bar and if you can get the 60 foot time into the 1.6x's you will get there. I went 11.98 at 111.98 with a 1.65 60ft.

He is already on nitrous and xpndbl2 sudjested that he could up it to get into the 11s, I agree with the others stall and some stickey tires would get you there.

i also forgot to mention that im using the stock 10 bolt rear end. Its beefed up a bit with Strange gears, Eaton posi, solid spacer instead of a crush sleeve, and a reinforced cover.
With a stall and drag radials am i going to grenade the rear...again?
oh, and i already removed the front sway-bar and installed drag shocks/struts.
this shaved about .15 of my 60' time.

I'm aiming hard at 11's on my stock L98. I did a pair of 12.2's on a low bottle without purging last day of last season pulling 1.7 60 foots. That was on a .073 jet, I'm changing solenoids and going up to a .078 jet plus taking a bunch of weight off the nose of the car. This should be an interesting year.

What exactly were you bolting on it?
Lt1's in general seem to have a very nice hp / tq range, where as the tpi's are know for tq basically down low and hp in the middle, top end is basically not there as much. Lt1's climb pretty good.
My cousin (94z auto) has headers, offroad y-pipe, and slp loudmouth, cold air intake, air foil, and thats it for performance mods.
He has about 35-40 hp more than me and I have similar mods.
Also keep in mind that this is a auto tpi, 5 speed / 6 speed could make it slightly faster as well. plus i am sure his car weighs alot more than 3000 - 3100 pounds.
my formula weighs 3580 with me in it, so its about 3380 without me.
.1 for every 100 pounds I think they say at the track. so being 300 pounds lighter helps alot also.

13.5 on motor with those mods is pretty darn good! i'm at 13.63 but with less trap speed and should break 13.5's with abit more work on suspension, so i hope. i got similar mods than you too cept mostly stock tune, stock TB. but i also have 2800 stall.
very quick car u got there! i think a converter would get u great gains
