benge in car craft
hey benge congrats on being in car craft... although last time I saw you at raceway park I thought you lived in Indiana and that's the best darn 308 I've ever seen (I was sure it was a 383) hahaha Oh well, at least they got the pic of your car right. Hopefully when I get the bird back together I'll see ya up there this year... if it ever warms back up!!!!

Thanks for the post. I was surprised to see my car in the magazine, I sent a few pics in about 6 months ago and had almost forgotten about it. I've had the magazine for a few days now but hadn't read it yet(it was laying in a pile of unread car magazines), until a friend of my sent me an email today saying it was in there. They screwed it up a little.... Avon, OH and 308 stroker but its still cool getting it into a magazine, at least they got my name right.

No I haven't done anything new to the car. I'll probably switch to a steeper gear this spring though. And hopefully late this year or early next year I want to get the trans rebuilt with a trans brake and get a 4000 stall torque converter. I know my trans is probably living on borrowed time, its seen lots of street time and 1/4 mile passes for the past 5-6 years. I'd like to leave my combo basically the same except for some fine tuning for another couple of years before making any big changes. Then maybe go with a Procharger or a larger displacement N/A combo. Hopefully I'll see you out at the track this year knj8.
