How to do the smokiest burnout ever?
My car will be finished soon and I want to light em up. I have 8 tires to burn, and I want to do them right. Engine is 500hp, blower sitting in garage going on top of that in two months when I get a stronger rear.
No linelock
So whats the theory of a burnout?
You want to burn all the rubber instead of scraping it off?
Bleach lines?
Soft tires?
Anything else?
Looking to win a few burnout contests........

Re: How to do the smokiest burnout ever?
In my car (100% stock) I just slam the brakes (my rear calipers don't engage, flaw with monroe calipers) and the gas. Burnout. I've never had the car exit itself from a burnout. I've always had to let off the gas and the brake, so if I really wanted (I don't) I could pop my rear tires. These cars are burnout machines.
If your rear calipers actually work, lightly press the brakes, as the front calipers are supposed to engage before the rears. Then mash the gas. You'll know when you get it right.

Don't wanna seem out of line here or anything, but if you really do have 500HP, why is it that you can afford a $20 line lock and an afternoon worth of intalation?
I did mine in a couple hours and it works great. My motor makes around 460HP and I run 335s. I recently did a BIG burnout and posted it on youtube. I am at work, so I can't link you. If you wanna check it out, search for dennisbernal91z, in youtube or in google. My vid will come up.
In the vid I am running cheap 245s on my stock rims with some bleach over the rear tires, I have bleach lines to, but I wasn't running them. I just poured the bleach on this time. Tires were at 32 PSI, If I was you I would run them softer, only a little, maybe 25. Then if you wanna keep them burning, spin them slower, you will have less tear off of the tire and it will acctually cook them off. Also be carefull with the bleach, it left black dots on my mirrors when the droplets landed. Cover them up with a rag.
I guess thats it, get back to me with questions after you check out the video.

get a set of BFGoodrich KDW's, mine are smokey as hell, to the point of almost being absurd, the crappy peg-leg doesn't help. my old 355 would obliterate the 1 wheel half the time, and after 5 sec of 6000rpm, you couldnt see a thing behind you, ahead,to the side or up. take a quick ride up the road and turn around, and its stilll there. ahh good times...

Re: How to do the smokiest burnout ever?
Well I will have the linelock. Just hasnt been a priority yet. Just got the motor running yesterday. It's a drag car so it will have them.
245's are what I have to burn. I know how to do a burnout...just looking for some more tips for that extra smokiness. I want to kill birds.
I dont want to buy a new set of tires just to burn though.
So low pressure, bleach, and turn them slowly?

bleach injection...
thats what i put on my car,def helps the life of the tire to. its amazing for burnouts and it suprises the hell out of poeple. just dont get caught by tech inspection like i almost did. right as i was stagging there was still a little bleach dripping from the lines and one of the guys seen it and looked right at me and i seen him out the corner of my eye trying to get mine and every one elses attention, but it was to late and the light went green.

Get some water on the tires. Line lock the front brakes so you don't burn the rear brakes off. Start in first and shift up in gears to high gear all while keeping the rpms up. I figure my rear wheels are doing about 100+ mph during my water box burnouts. Through gear calculations, I can do around 80 mph in first gear. I'm only in high gear for about 5 seconds before I let the line lock off.
What's so important about smoke? Trying to heat up street tires just makes them slippery. Bleach at the track is a no-no and will get you banned if caught.

definetly get a line lock.. brakes are not as cheap as a one-time purchase of a linelock.. add weight to the trunk.. more weight=more traction, more heat, and more smoke.. but tires go down just a bit faster

I'm not looking to do this at the track, just to burn off some old tires, and to show some local import fans what cool really is.....and enter some burnout contests. I'll have some nice drag tires for the track.
So linelock and bleach lines it is.
So whats the deal at the track then, can you have the lines, but the bleach bottle empty or how's that work?
Oh and I have four winter tires from Germany with some nice large soft tread on them, should burn up well.

at the track, if you leak ANY fluid, its a BIG NO NO.. an empty tank would be fine at the track..
Re: How to do the smokiest burnout ever?
bleah is very slippery compared to water, like if you put some bleach on your fingers and rub it and do the saem with water you will notice a big diffrence. and when bleahc gets warmed up its smokes insanley. def doing that at the trank is a bad idea(i just got lucky). but in my experices with bleach it helps the tires last longer than just water or a regular burnout. but you need to dilute it like i use a 50/50 mixture dont run straight bleach. and i have a $3,000 paint job on my car and it doesnt hurt nothing. i was nervous at first but its well worth it.

Re: How to do the smokiest burnout ever?
Yeah, I run bleach too when doing my burnouts. Youtube dennisbernal91z. I ran straight bleach. I didn't hurt my paint at all, but it did screw up my mirrors. No biggie cuz they were already scratched and I wanted new ones. But still, from now on I will run 50/50. Good idea.
Yeah, it makes a TON of smoke, check out that youtube vid, you will see what I am talking about. Once the bleach starts getting burned, the car disapears. Then I cut the burnout, LOTS of smoke for a relatively short burnout.

Re: How to do the smokiest burnout ever?
yeah i found this out the hard way that if you just leave it straight bleach it will eventually fade the tires. but with a water mixture its all good.
