Re: What do you guy's think?

dang that cam doesnt sound nearly as aggressive as i thought it would with the duration it has....

just guessing, i would say the car should be good for low 11s. but, thats just a wild guess. just gotta see how it runs at the track.

Re: What do you guy's think?

reminds me of how my car used to look back in the day, it was 7 shades of black with faded clearcoat rolling on those rims. heh. I'd say it needs more stall and gear, but other than that it sounds good. Right now it'd be somewhere in the 11s once completely set up. Those are really big heads to not spin that motor up higher out of the hole.

Re: What do you guy's think?

no vids at work, but sounds like a stout combo. Just wondering, do you have some pics or a link to an album?, specifically any pics of the fuel cell, just wondering how you have it mounted. Anyway good luck, take it to the track and let us know what she runs!

well with the 1.6 ration rockers I have that would make lift .552in .571exh does it not the car is still untuned I checked the timing after those vids and it was at 26* total 4* initial it's also running a good bit rich. in the vid of the launch all I did was spin and I didn't even load the converter up.

Re: What do you guy's think?

even on a street car. you need to have some kind of NHRA approved line in the car, wether it's a braded steel, an aluminum hardline (which i see you have alot of, very good making the fuel system happen on a budget ), or the new twist lock line. it's the blue rubber line that's a better compound and will withstand higher line pressures and more types of fluids.

one thing though, you will have to build some kind of firewall to seal the hatch from the rest of the car since you have the fuel cell going inside the car. not necessarily the way i'd have done it, i'd like to see you run a regular tank, maybe one with a sump.

tune the car, add more gear and a real tire and run it at the track. something just didn't sound right in your burnout video. the motor was REALLY ******* down. i think that those cylinder heads should make far more power than the motor sounds like it's making.

Re: What do you guy's think?

i'll get the fuel system done up right. those video's I never got above 3200 rpm and the timing being as out of wack as is was was messin with it to. ill make some more video tomarrow. what did'nt sound right to you could it be the carb??? anyways as far as the firewall its surrounded by metal on all sides and there is a lid attached to the body on the top that seals that little compartment could I just put sheet metal on that?

honestly it sounds like you have WAY too much valve lash...or maybe ur fans hitting something and causing that weird tick...did you move a decimal over one spot by accident or somethin when settin the lash?

Somebody already commented on the fuel cell thing, that'll never pass. Yes the 12" of rubber hose thing is true...you're a big boy

Re: What do you guy's think?

When you buy the new rear make sure it at least has a 4.10 and if its only running on motor I would use a 4.30 gear. What are the flow # on heads did you do a before and after flow test? I think it will run 11.5 with a gear swap.
