Question...?
I'm wondering.... i'm using the programs called Dyno 2003 and Drag 2003 i put in all my info and it says i will run the 1/4 slower with 3.73's than 2.73's? Anyone know why? and if the program is right i don't want to spend the money on a gear swap.... is the program wrong? Thanks

Re: Question...?
Sounds like crap to me, you should have a HUGE 60 foot gain as well as time drop in the ET.

Re: Question...?
It also makes a big difference with the rest of the engine/car combination. The more accurate the data you put into it, the more accurate the output will be. Something simple like car weight is the total weight of the car sitting on the starting line. Driver, fuel etc. It compares all the data you input and makes a best guess on the best combination of parts you should use. Dyno/dragstrip 2003 says I should use 4.56 gears for a best ET but I use 4.89.
It's possible dyno/dragstrip doesn't think your engine has a high enough powerband to use 3.73 gears on the dragstrip. If it feels you'll go way over in the rpm range, it will feel you'll run slower.
All these dyno simulation programs offer results under ideal and perfect conditions and tuneup. It's rare that a car will run exactly what the simulation software will say. Many variables can't be put into the simulation such as correct tire pressure, ignition timing, plug gap, suspension setup etc which will all effect the end result on the track.

Re: Question...?
I clocked myself doing a 0-60 around 7 sec... what would my 0-60 time be if i had the 3.73s do you think? (i have 2.73s right now)
