Finally back to track tonight - first of season.

Well finally was able to get back to track between work and weather, last week drove 2 hrs to ohio to get rained out at the gate (though it never rained) ahg!!!! Cancelled due to forecast.
Tonight almost same story, overcast, bad weather coming, headwind, very humid.

Anyway results are ok and kinda good as I figured the cause of an ongoing issue.

First pass: went as I expected, released transbrake and car spit, sputtererd, bogged and more, got in and out till after half track, finally cleared up! WTF!!!!!
Decided that it may be loading up on limiter, pull off float bowl, decide not to change jets, instead do not use rev limiter and pedal it. Put bowl back on and missing a bowl screw!!!!! Have 6 guys looking for and CAN NOT FIND - Where did it go? never did find, miss next round - put a larger bolt in hole just to plug.
Go up to line, burnout - car in front breaks, re burn out and car is now pretty warm..
Leave at 3000, car leaves kinda dead but pulls well.
1.42 60ft
9.90 @ 135

Well seems that limiter is causing me to load up on fuel as theoried.

Next pass
Leave at 4500
Car spins - probably due to usual no prep and moist air and some sprinkles.
1.43 60ft
9.83 @ 137
Then rained out.

Pretty happy just to finally find the root of the breaking up issue.
Usual 60 ft is deep 1.3s so that would have easily been a 9.7 pass
and still lots more left at line, to leave on limiter at 5500 and Weather was terrible. Now have to figure out why its loading up on limiter...

loading up on the limiter due to not enough timing while on the 2 step?

Timing is locked down at 37°, so should not be that.

are you sure it is not fuel sloshing out of the vent tube?. my carb does that pretty bad, even with out nitrous, i used a piece of rubber fuel hose to connect the 2 vent tubes and cut the top open, so they are still vented. also is your float level right? jet extensions on rear jets?

Float levels are correct, I have a piece of fuel hose on already - that was the first thing I did last year, after that added jet extensions rear also last year with no help. Talked with holley, they seem to think that intermediate air bleeds will fix issue - they said drill from .061 to .070, sounds right, it seems rich during burnout also, which would be intermediates.
