would be a good idea to get a nitrous jet calculator program and setup your jetting that way. the suggested jetting for your typical nitrous kit is very conservative and safe.
what he said...however, once you have a tune up that is good it is very important to have the bottle pressure as close as possible every pass, like he said, if it goes up to 1200 and you have a good tune at say 900..bad things can happen. In the summer it is hard to control bottle temps, i usually try to cover the bottle when it is in the car and the sun is out to stop it from gaining a ton of pressure in the staging lanes, and if i am going to run in the eveining i will run the a/c in the truck while towing there to lower the bottle temps, then while staging and getting ready it usually comes up to about 950, then if it is still low few minutes of the heater while warming engine works great. also when the bottle pressure is really high, the pressure drop over the pass is higher, making it less consistant, although with a small shot that probably isnt a big factor.

yeah that unit is cool, i have a pressure switch on my heater, and it works pretty well. Good luck!

Got our three time runs in and then rained out

car was running good too, nasty air, but still a 7.010, 7.012, 7.010....hmmmm, wonder what to dial LOL!!

bif storm front blasted through soaking everything, air dropped 1100', no more time runs left...luckily track called it and we "should" be running two races tomorrow, so $4K up for grabs and good round money

LOL, not a focking thing, they only ran one race today first time shot i was -.001 on the tree, second time run was .002 and we went into elimins. first round it was dead even at the tree, i ran a 6.95 on a 6.95 dial and took it with a bad r/t since i did'nt wanna red light. Second round i had a bye run, ran 6.949 on a 6.95 dial with .010. 3rd round i was still nervious of my lights, fell asleep and left the door wide open.

makes me mad, but whatcha gonna do. They have a combo race next weekend, so think i may try running that race on all juice, it's not for points, just $1500 and usually hardly anybody shows up for it since it's just a one day race..think last time it was only 5 rounds to win

Re: nitrous is fun LOL!!

its a romac lol, its pretty old, probably 10 years or more. The real problem is the balancer bolt wasnt long enough with the crank trigger, so it doesnt stay tight, now it just slides on and off the crank, which is bout 0.001 smaller now but happened to have a balance for another engine build and it is still a press fit, also found that my roller lifters needed some more clearance for the roller, as proven by the 4 little notches in each bore...dont really understand that, no play in roller, lifter bores not loose, plus it is a factory roller block so the bores are taller than a non roller block...oh well reassemble and run it lol

i have a romac for my 383 and i like it. however the one i got was for standard sbc cranks and would not press fit my eagle crank. it fit the L98 crank fine tho. Romac says on the website eagle and scat cranks usually are .001 smaller than factory cranks so you need to order the .001 undersized romac balancer for those applications. I did and it works great. its a nice tight press fit on the eagle crank.
