Vid from last night. New mph but no ET gain

http://media.putfile.com/1153-at-119

Finished street tuning the new larger 3.5" MAF and CAI and took the car to the track. DA was lower at probly between 2300 time i got there and dropping to 2100 or so. Much lower than the 2800-3000 or so hot track days before the air intake

Car ran a couple 11.6's with traction problems and then i hooked ok and ran 11.55 at 118.86

best 60 foot tonight at 1.55 but ignition/ecm power wire cutout on me or somethign and i lost power at the 1000 foot mark. Came back on after turning off briefly but car ran 11.62 at 116. Would have been my best pass i think

Best pass tonight was a LAZY walk into the throttle 1.66 60 foot and ran 11.53 at 119.1. 1/8 was 7.39 at 94.2. trap speeds were up but due to weather more than anything, it cooled down nicely that night.

Tune is probly a tad off still up top. its a little lean i believe. Or maybe the stock MAF and TPI lid flow more than i originally thought

Re: Vid from last night. New mph but no ET gain

Does my combo seem to be doing ok for what it is power wise? i know the ET will come down once i get better traction/12bolt so i can launch it all the way, and once the air cools down i'll be ok, but i'm wondering if i should be making more power than this? LT1 guys seem to put down better numbers especially with the torque department but i think that has something to do with my cam specs being somewhat more nitrous friendly than pure n/a friendly? 370s wtq seems low for a 383

I think you are making awsome power for the size cam, tpi.set up, single ex.,and a full street car. My old 380ci motor only pulled 2 more mph then you are doing know and I had a soild roller cam and dual 3'' ex. I was set up more for the spray and on a 275 tune it went 9.70 at 140 mph.

That's why I normally use Streetfire and sometimes Youtube. HD videos can be stored on Vimeo.

Here's a streaming HD video. You'll need a good system and connection to play it.

Launch pic. looks like air under that tire but the rear is squatting abit. Thats probly why its coming up and unloading thus spinning. That run it did spin a touch but after the initial hit now that i think about it.

Gotta play with suspension settings i guess

Nice! Your car is running good. I've never had my combo dynoed and I never plan too. As long as I have my WB and the track to give me feedback. That's really all I need, especially when I drive it everyday. Anyway your combo is definately working well.

Re: Vid from last night. New mph but no ET gain

how you like the 847 cam? where do you think its peaking? i was gonna go that way before trying a custom grind thats a touch smaller than the 847 duration wise on the intake but much more lift and tighter lsa

Re: Vid from last night. New mph but no ET gain

I like it even though it's an older grind compared to what's out on the market today, I can still feel it pulling all the way up to 6700rpm. I used Engine Anylizer Pro to help build this combo. I think it turnd out pretty good especially when I'm laying the smack down on dudes with 03/04 cobra's boasting 466hp to the wheels with dyno sheets in hand at the local car spots. I think it's funny when they get beat by an old 3rd gen

Re: Vid from last night. New mph but no ET gain

11.5's @ 115 is about what you can expect from 3400lbs and 390rwhp.
With your 119 mph, I suspect you may be producing more than 390hp.
11.10's are reachable at that speed but you've got to launch with no spin.
Don Garlits is right. "Drag racing is all about horsepower and traction."
119 mph trap speed is more along the lines of 440rwhp.
Are you willing to offer up your cam specs? Including installed ICL.
Have you done a compression test?

thats a GT500 to boot they aint slow

i've posted it everywhere 286/306 230/245 on a 109 lsa. 108 ICL as installed. Degree wheel verified. .603/.613 lift

119 and my weight i think its more like 400-410whp. I put down 392 when it was VERY hot and heat soaked. my track runs are cooool. So i expect 10hp difference or so
