Guess What It Will Run
So my Dad and I have a bet going about what my Camaro will run 1st time out, just for fun.
Heres the specs
89 Camaro RS
Stock 305TBI
Hooker Chambered muffler
BFG Drag Radials
TH350 w/ shift kit
Unknown rear end, Used to be a 5 speed car. at 75mph on the highway im at 4k RPM
Other than that its stock
Runs good, good tune up
I guessed 15.60
He guessed 16.00
and my GF buzzed in with 16.30
What do you all say?
Build thread is in my SIG if you want to see it.

Re: Guess What It Will Run
I will if the weather is good then I will have it out this weekend. If not next week sometime.
Im trailering it up there because I plan to beat it untill something breaks. I have a 355 in the garage that im going to complete over the winter, and Im not driving the car throughout the winter so If it breaks or blows the motor its not that big of a deal. Im not going to try to break it, but Im not going to take it easy. ALL OUT with my lil 305 LOL

Re: Guess What It Will Run
My 89 RS 305 TBI with 5 speed ran a best 1/8 Saturday of 10.2
I have shorty headers, highflow cat, and a flowmaster, all 3 inch.
Not sure of the size of the rear tires I think 10 inches wide. Front are stock size. All street tires. At 25 PSI it almost hooks a little to much.
In April I ran a best of 16.2
But at 75 my car runs 2750 RPM. If it was a factory 5 speed it would have had 3.08's like my car still does. I would guess you have 3.73's or 4.10's.
I would also put you somewhere around a 15.5 to a 15.8

I think one of my benifits will be that with the TH350 and gears in the rear it should put me across the line at a good RPM.
Like I said Im not looking for anything special, I just wanted to get it out on the strip before the winter when I tear into it. Then next year I can compare my numbers to what this car ran when I first started.
Im ordering a set of Hedman LT's so I may have those on there, not sure.
