10" wheel - need pics. new guy here.

Wanting pics of 10" rear wheel need to know back spacing please. Currently running 8" with 5.5 bs and getting ready to upgrade. If you can post side profile pics would be great. Wanting to tuck (if you know what I mean).
Thanks, Scott

that's about the most backspacing you can run on these cars without getting crazy with cutting out the wheelwells. A 10" rim would look less tucked than your setup now by sticking out 2" further with a 5.5bs rim. I'm running 6.5bs but basically have a minitub on my car.

Most common backspacing for a 10" rim on a third gen is 5.5". It will really depend on the height/width of the tires you want to use because the backspacing will determine where they fit under the fenders.

Re: 10" wheel - need pics. new guy here.

Lots of room for a 28 x 10 slick. With a bunch of inner fender modifications, I was able to squeeze a 29.5 x 10.5 ET Drag under the fenders.

Depending what your current rpm range is and what rpm you're currently crossing the finish line at, going from a 26 to 28" tall tire will probably require a deeper gear in the diff.

I am assuming you're talking about a slick and not a DOT tire. The width is measured differently. A 10" DOT tire is 10" across the section of the tire. Tread will be less. A 10" slick is measured across the tread and the section width will be greater.

a 10" wheel on these cars with 5.5 bs looks disgusting. if you're dead set on 10" wheel get it with 6.5 bs and be prepared to do the necessary bfh stuff. Or just run a 9" wheel with 5.5 bs and be lazy like me

I have a 10" wheel with a 5.5 bs. I have a 295/50/15 (10") on it now, I plan on going to a 275/50/15 (9") cause the tires on there now rub alittle.

Why would it look disgusting? Do you like the FWD look of wheels?

I say the closer to center, or at least a DEEP dish on the outside, looks best. 6.5" bs would give it less of a dish.

15 x 10 rims with 5.5" backspacing. I think those tires were 28 x 10.

Same rims but 29.5 x 10.5 tires

Here's a 15 x 15 rim with 5.5" backspace The diff is also almost 20" narrower.

here's mine, 29x9 hooser drag slick on a 15x10 with 6.5" backspacing. all i did was some BFH and cut the bumpstops out. i'm also running a 3/16" spacer. no rubbing.
