first pass on new motor

first pass on new motor

made it to the track last night made first pass on new set up went 11.92 @ 112 with a 1.93 60ft with no tunning at all then i had really bad oil pressure issue oil pressure went from 60 psi to zero back up yhen back down no noises or anything tried 2 different gauges same problem i dont think i hurt anything but i am going to pull motor and check just to be sure motor builder said he would warrenty any problems better safe than sorry i guess

How much & what visc oil? What type pressure gauge?

I've heard that mech gauges with a big enough line will show every fluctuation.
Are you running just enough oil to get thru the traps, or a thin visc like straight 20 wt?

i actually have hooked 2 different gauges up 1 electric and 1 mech oil i am running is royal purple 10w30 6 1/2 quarts i would think that if it were a bad pump it would have little to no pressure all the time

The pump may have come loose. Internal oil leak. Seen it before.

what are the specs on the motor. Thats seems pretty stout for a bad 60 ft time
