First day at track since porting heads and freshen up.
First day at track since porting heads and freshen up.
Not much to brag about, have a slew of tune issues right now, some that were exposed at the track.. Due to Feul flow cap of stock ecm had been forced to raise Fuel pressure about 6 lbs which threw alot of other things off.. I now have a bog between shifts if not power shifting, so its an A/E issue it seems due to the 12% increase in fuel everywhere.
Track conditions were terrible, no prep at all, hot, humid I would guess 4000 da or so..
First pass 11.07 @ 127, 1.59 60ft spinning, 13 psi in tires, 6k launch
2nd pass 11.07 # 127, 1.62 60ft spinning worse, 12 psi in tires 6k launch
Not power shifting at this point due to not being used to car afetr not driving all winter, getting my shift meemory back before I start rowing hard.
Car is bogging on shift though.
3rd pass tried removing some fuel to get rid of bog and ran 11.13 @ 124.
4th pass power shifted second only.
11.03 @ 128.7, 1.62 60ft 11 psi, 5500k launch
5th pass lowered tires to 10 psi, came out spinning but feeling ok with a 1.60 only still, power shifted 2nd and third feeling real strong!!!! Missed FKINGGGGGG 4TH! did not miss a gear all last season, tried pushing myself early. Had best 1/8 mile MPH at 101 over previous passes at 98/99 then I blew it. Likely would have gone 130s in trap..
So HP is there right now, track surface is not yet. I did expose another problem of me needing a 2 step. Watching my scans, right at the launch I am almost completely off throttle on launch due due to transfer and me not haveing foot mashed when clutch is released. Once I get tuning figured out and get the launch back, the car should go 10.7s no problem, then I will bring the spray back.. I also look for a single plane intake to pick me up 30 horsepower over the Mini ram due to only 283 cfm flow.

Definately time for a two step if you dont have one already. My mallory box has one built in, maybe you can upgrade to something similar. It also has nitrous timing retard functions plus window switch. Nice system.
Considering the tune and weather, i think you may an impressive gain on this motor.

has some mph for sure! That thing will go with track prep and lower DA. I hope to be out next week, june 3rd. Try to make it, i'd love to see this new setup run!!

Much more left in it right now, the bogging was a big issue that I fixed today.. Had to remove lots of fuel from AE tables due to the added FP, it was flooding on quick accelerator changes causing the bog on shifts.. 2-Step is in mail right now
I actually drove it to the track tonight, but could not race due to being a pre registered race that I did not realize.. Its ok, needed the break in time..
I will not be able to make it on the 3rd, President of our company want to take everyone to dinner - Can't miss that though I want to.. 2 Step will be burning me not to be able to use.
