Well, went to 35* total up from 32* and brought it in faster, helped eliminate the stumble a bit, but i have wheel hop now, so i need to tune the suspension:
Best ET was 8.0
MPH 93
60 was still 1.9/2.0 wheel hopping and pedaling it.
Good night for a cammed truck motor with a carb. I wish i had a stalled auto for the fun at the track, but this car is street driven every day.
Long live the 89 RS.

man that's some killer mph, i need to do SOMETHING with my 6.0, probably going to get some good parts and an 88mm and go in an s10...
i say tune the suspension and some good slicks, then set the 2 step just under your shift point and side step that thing.....
it'll either go really fast or break stuff hehehehe

Re: *New personal best*
I got to do some timing experiments tonight also. 36 total sucked for me. I set it back to 39 where I had it last week and the car just picked up power. It may like even more but I was playing with jetting tonight, not timing except for the first pass.
Unfortunately, guessing at the best timing at the track will never find it. Invest in some dyno time to find out where your engine likes the best timing is the only way to do it. After you find the best timing, anything you do with jetting, valve lash, plug gap etc won't change where the engine likes the timing. Some day I may get the car on a dyno.

Re: *New personal best*
Man, i am dying for some dyno time, i need to get the timing where itlikes it best, then swap a befroe and after for vic jr to super vic, then with and without the 2 inch carb spacer on both. Then, jetting.
Thanks, move down here man, we dont fear snow and the 1/8th mile is only usually shut down for a month or two! LOL
Yea, for a stock truck motor with a cam, i am really happy with the trap speed, once i get the suspension fixed so there is no wheel hop(wheel hop was non existent till i swapped to tubular LCA...?) and get the drive shaft replaced with something that can take a beating, it is on like donkey king.

Re: *New personal best*
What are you running for rear shocks?
My thinking is the factory LCA's would flex like crazy on launch and hiding the issue, now that you have a good set of LCA's in the car it is showing what was happening all along. Personally I run a set of summit 3-ways in the rear and haven't had any issues with hopping.

Thought about bringing it up 2 or 3 3 degrees, seen a Tech member running 39 with no detonation.

Yea, i know, damn wheel hop was killing me this time and when that gets fixed i need to bite the bullet on a good driveshaft so i can launch on the moon like everyone tells me i need to.
Wont be till i have a set of heads that i am running like you.
