Built a trans crossmember

Let me know what you guys think, i am no engineer so i just did what i thought would hold up to my abuse, so far it has not wheel hopped today, i raced a couple buddies to see how it would do and feels pretty stout so far, i chopped off the TQ arm mount form the Spohn unit and made it work with this, now i can have my exhaust routed so it doesnt hit the ground every where i go and i wont have to pucker up for every dip i see, LOL.

It never has to look pretty especially under the car. As long as it's functional.

Re: Built a trans crossmember

I made one similar but just used a flat piece of angle across the whole thing, didn't matter since my deep th400 aluminum pan hangs lower than the trans mount, no way to tuck the exhaust pieces any higher regardless. Also the 1/8" steel was way stouter than the factory one, so I'd say yours would be too, just needs some rustoleum semi-gloss black on there to make it look better IMO
