Zero to Sixty?
I'm having an argument with a friend of mine about the 0-60 times of my car.
He claims that my car cannot do 0-60 in anything faster than 6.5ish seconds, but I know my car can do it in under 6, I'm estimating around 5.75ish
I have a 1991 Z-28 with the 5.7L Tuned Port, dual-cat, minuscule performance upgrades like performance air filters etc, as well as sport tires (BFG G-Force Super Sport)
What would you all say?

Do you have a smart phone with apps? There is a pocket dyno app that is pretty accurate for what it is, use it if you have the ability.

The giant page of calculators.
http://www.wallaceracing.com/Calculators.htm
specifically http://www.wallaceracing.com/0-60_equation.php
estimates my car is doing about 4.7 on street tires at the track.

Re: Zero to Sixty?
I used to clock mine in the high 5's to 6.0 range on the street but I didnt have much traction. At the strip, a 1.70 60 foot will get a bolt on L98 to 60 in a hurry

According to that calculator, my car is 5.43... I'm not sure if it's quite that quick, but I'm happy with that, and for sure it's under 6 seconds :P

Re: Zero to Sixty?
yeah not sure how true that calculator is, but with a 6.2's 1/8 mile and 112mph traps, 0-60 in 1.78 for my setup. I dont know if its that quick because that just seems ridiculous, but it certainly gets up.
I had my L98 at 8.21 at 82.25 1/8 mile and that gives 4.37 sec 0-60. Bolt ons only...1.71 60 foot time, I think that sounds pretty close.
I plan to get one of those G-force GPS type boxes that does 0-60 and 60-130 type events. They seem to work extremely well.
