autocrossed the camaro today

ite been 4 years since ive done any autocross events but i found out about mid week about one in town for this weekend and i thought what a good way to learn the new car a bit.i had fun the car deff needs some sticky tires if i plan to autox much more and i need to replace the entire suspension its just more or less shot. the last time i did any autox i ran a 98 camaro 3.8 auto 3.42posi car it was bone stock but did very well this was my first time autox a thirdgen. ill tell you though i love the tpi for this stuff though. i placed like 22 our of 36 i believe but i was the only fbody there i was surounded by miatas porches and a few vettes. one guy had a jag with a 454 th400 setup fuel cell and spray lol it was nasty.all in all i think with some work on the car it will compete very well even with the 2.73s i had alot of traction issues. herr are the videos i have. i got a total of 6 timed runs and one fun run and one ride through. only mods on car now is a flowmaster that the po put on its all 2 1/4 pipe from the cat to the muffler and 3in tips i hate it. makes it worse the cat plugged up lastnight so i pulled it off and cleaned it out and stuck it back on now it sounds even worse. a magnaflow system will be on this car in the future.

Re: autocrossed the camaro today

its been awhile since ive really been into the autox game so i couldnt tell you much about the classes. this event was hosted by a local Porche club and they are pretty cool about stuff like tech inspections and ussualy they do two classes Porches and everything else lol. so really its hard for someone in a stock worn out suspension thirdgen to compete. when i used to autox my 98 i usualy did pretty well since they broke it up into classes and i kept it stock id normaly finish in the top 3 with it.
