Got the car to the track for a base time.
Ok i finally got the car to the track. I got the paint buffed out this week. Which i am pretty happy with for my first paint job. But i got the car to go 11.79 at 113mph. 1.72 60 ft. The car has a 342 gear in it. How much time do you think it could pick up swapping to a 410?

Depends what rpm you shift at.
Depends what rpm you cross the finish line at.
Depends what gear you cross the finish line at.
If geared properly for the engine rpm range, you should be crossing the finish line at or just after you reach your shift point in 1:1 gear. OD isn't a recommended gear for dragstrip use. You should be maxed out in gears and rpms as you cross the finish line.
So many factors can change that including a stall speed change in the torque converter.

well I dont have a playback on the tach. But I have the light set at 5900 and i would say its actually shifting at 6000. It was crossing through the traps at around 5k or a little under. And im running a th350 so of course im in third gear.
