Looking for a diet plan.
Looking for a diet plan.
I'm looking to shed a little weight before I take my car to the track in october. I'm considering removing the AC and maybe the power steering.I haven't decided on that one yet. How much does the back seat weigh? The AC? Any other advice would be great. The car is already a manual with no power accesories.
Thanks

There's a lot you can remove to make the car lighter. First question though is how streetable do you want it. My race car got down to 3050 with me in it and a rollbar installed.
Other stuff to remove are the bumpers, carpeting and underlay. Since you don't have power options you have a good start on a light car. When I replaced my power option doors with manual ones I saved 35 pounds per door. Get rid of the steel hood and put on a fiberglass one. I used a factory 82 fiberglass hood.
