Got my headers on...

Hey guys, just got my headers on this past weekend. They are cheap Flowtech headers, but, listen to this. I have an 88 Iroc with a 350TPI and 700R tranny. The only mod was flowmaster mufflers and a few degrees on my timing. My best pass with that was only

15.03@91mph....yeah pretty bad. Then I put those headers on my car, gutted the air boxes and gutted my cat. I took it to the track and ran

14.63@93 mph. Not bad for only $150 bucks huh?! Anyway, my next mod will be a cam and some lowering springs to help with my traction. I will keep you guys posted!

ET means nothing. That depends on traction. However you did pick up 2 mph. That's a direct result of HP. Either that or the air conditions were much better. The best way to tell if it was an improvement is over a few weekends. Each weekend the air should be different. If it's always a better run then the changes you did were an improvement.

I've seen people do a bunch of changes and expected to run quicker but actually slowed down. They blame it on the parts they used but it was because they retested on a bad air day.

Still. 2 mph is good for that price.
