i was thinking about new wheels; a little help please...

can anyone list beifits of new (lighter)wheels besides wieght. I want 18's for the rear 17's for the front. Is this ok if i plan to occasionally plan to hit the local track for some tight turning. what companies offer light yet affordable(maybe even cheap) wheels that have decent quality and looks. What do you guys use? Thanx in advance.

Cheap "aftermarket" 17 or 18's? Keep dreaming.

Not cheap as in cheap cheap as in i don't plan on spending 800+ on each rim. remember the original thing i said was affordable. 3-400 per wheel is decent i ain't very picky.
