What's the best way to launch off the line with a T-5?

I'm planning on taking my T/A to the track soon to see what it'll run, But what's the best way to launch off the line? I've been told to launch at 2700-3000 RPM's and other's say just let it out enough to keep the engine alive and then floor it. What way work's best? Also when shifting gears is it best to leave the gas pedal down when pushing the clutch in? Thanks, Jason

With all those mods if you power shift the T5 you will destroy it real fast.If you care about the tranny lay off the gas when shifting.launch around 2500 rpm

You did not say what tires you will be using
I would let the clutch out quickly just above
idle and squeeze the pedal to the floor with
street radials or dump the clutch at 2500rpms and mat it on a cheater slick or drag radial.Yes powershifting is hard on parts but damn it feels good when you nail a good clean pass.
Hope this helps

The tranny isn't the only weak link. That cast iron pressure plate and flywheel won't like high rpm drops either. Aftermarket steel pressure plate and flywheel will last a lot longer.

It's on street tires. So far the tranny is holding up, I Hope. Thanks, For the replies.

T-5's are stonger than people think...mine has lived through 3 cars mine running consistant low 12's to 12 flat(the others ran low 13's). Bring the RPM's up to 2500-3000 at the light, dump the clutch, wait for the tires to hook, then mat it. I was running 2.1 60 ft's last night on my way to 12.4's @ 117 using this technique on Pep Boys radials
