Wonderbar, huh? Is this a swaybar or something else?

Also, on the wheels - thanks for the info. The price isn't brutal...

Keith, the wonderbar is mounted to the fram between the swaybar mounts on each side. All IROC's have them that came with sixteen inch wheels. It ties the front of the subframe together and stiffens the chasis, simular to what a strut tower brace would do.

Well folks, after a week, I can safely conclude that old Sammie's ego is bigger than his business. I can only assume that the above series of threads (where he wants to tell us all how smart he is and how dumb I am) stands. I offered to buy some of his services (here and via e-mail) and he went silent on me. I can have to believe that this is because he has so much business that he can't handle it all. Given the state of the economy, I can only stand in awe.

I guess that you'll have to genuflect to do business with old Sammie. Not my style. Sorry, I kiss no one's butt to do business with them.

That's cool. Best I can tell, he hasn't cornered the market on on third gen knowledge. To the rest of you, thanks for all of the input folks, I'll keep you posted. Your input simply echoed the "expert".

Good luck Sammie.

That's fine. No hard feelings on my end.

First, it takes a lot of time to answer e-mails. Time I don't always have. E-mail may be easier for some folks, but I have a hard time trying to get across all the info. I feel is needed without a real voice. I figure if it's important, then a phone call will be placed. How exactly do you *think* you know anything about my business or me anyway? I don't know anything about you, and I the last thing I would do is assume something about you, then blurt it all over the net.

Second, a lot of this transpired in the run up to Solo 2 Nationals. Maybe not important to you, but very important to me. I was traveling extensively, doing tire testing, and fussing with the two ESP cars. I was also a Chief of Tech for Nationals. Those thing SEVERELY cut into not only my weekends but many weekdays as well. After all, doing well not only keeps my tire contract intact, but also helps my little business stay afloat as well.

As for the state of the economy.... Things aren't too bad here, thank-you. Much like you won't kiss someone's butt to do business with them, neither will I. I make a decent living without having to beg for customers. Taking care of the ones I have keeps us quite busy.

I chose to support my customers that appreciate what I do for them. Which, for what it's worth comprised WELL OVER 50% of the FS field in Topeka. And all but one of the trophy winners in the class. Including Paul Kozlak. 5-time Nat'l champ, second time in FS, even he asks my advice quite often. Ironically, what's he drive???? Only an '89 1LE. I guess he would make a habit of working with an arrogant know-nothing. Just for the record. When Kozlak's wanted to bring their '89 out for this year, they called exactly TWO people for opinions on it's competitiveness. Myself and Dean Sapp (3 time Nat'l champ). I don't have a Championship (yet, I hope), but somehow people still want my parts and advice. If you don't, then I'm sorry.

Like I said, I harbor no hard feelings. I was fully available at the Steel Cities events this weekend. As a number of folks can attest. Everyone else in FS came and found me for setup advice, even folks I have never met before.

Lastly, I brought both of my cars this weekend for a reason. I just wanted to show that I may actually be able to backup my statements.

And the name is Sam. Not "sammie". Only my Mother and my girlfriend call me that.

I suppose I was overly aggressive in previous statements. For that, I apologize. In addition, if you were busy, then I was not patient enough.

To address a few previous points
I have now seen you drive. You obviously know how to drive.
I never said you were an arrogant, know-nothing. I simply agreed with another forum particpant that you were arrogant.

Finally, I think that we have both annoyed each other to the point that that we need to let this drop.

Maybe I'll bump into you someday down the road.

Good luck.
