what should stock 1/4 times be for a 305 TBI/700R4 with 2.73 gears? what about a 305 TPI with the same? (if the year matters, let's say 91-92)

 

I would guess high 15's on the TBI, and mid to low 15's on the TPI.

with ok traction you will likely run in the 15.8-16.0 at about 83-85mph. if you spin there is no telling, i have seen a lot of guys go 17's. just worry abouthte launch and the rest will take care of itself.

If the 305 TBI is completely stock I say somewhere is the 16s. I raced my friend with his stock 305 TBI and I beat him. I have a 92 Firebird 3.1. Neither I us had that much wheel spin. We both launched and kept going to about 80 and I was about 1/2-3/4 car lengths on him. I could be wrong on the times but that was my experience.
