This showed up at the local dyno that is across the street from where I live to purchase the car was A LOT of cash if you won the lottery to purchase one. This car ran 9.70's "off the show room floor" and even has that new car smell!

Very nice even if it's not supposed to be driven on the street. After watching Fast N' Loud last night, I agree that you need to hit the lottery to own one. C'mon Powerball!

I know a Division 1 NHRA stock racer who has a COPO. not sure of the number but it is a beautiful car. He ordered it shortly after they began production. If my memory serves me right, the first drag racer to race in S/SS at a national event or division with the COPO was Dave Connelly. I could be wrong though. My friend who got his paid GM around 100k for the COPO. Got it half way through the year because it took GM a long time to finish it up. Ended up taking it to our friends chassis shop to give it the once over and install a few extras and I was told the craftsmanship on the COPO was so so. But then again all car manufactures are cutting corners but on a 100k race car. Anybody see how much the Fast & Loud COPO was being sold for?

I hope some one is smart enough to put one of these low mileage beauties in storage . because I would expect its value is only going to go up as the rest of the COPO's get used up. Well, make a few passes in it first

I'm sure that somebody with a lot of disposible income will do just that so that in the future someone with even more disposible income can buy it. Unfortunately, neither one of those people will be me.

The rolling chassis they sell is where it is at for the racers. The running units....I would store it.
