Auto X springs?

With the wide open rules for CAM class I'm thinking of going with the Ground Control Weight Jack system. I like the idea of the adjustable ride height. Is anyone running this in competition? Any input on spring rates? Thanks.

I have the weight jackers with 850/150 springs. My car's setup for ESP.

Well Pat how do you like them? What is the rest of your set up? And the big question...is your set up competitive?

Thanks,
Tom

I thought that I read that factory rear springs are rated around 150 lbs/in

The car handles great. Everybody who drives it tells me so.

Setup is 34/18 front/rear sway bars, weight jackers, Koni singles and Torsen T2R. Watts link going on this week. It weighs around 3,150, although I haven't weighed it in a couple years nor with the 17X11s I'm going to run this year.

As for "competitive," I coned my fastest run at the 2011 Solo Nationals which woulda coulda shoulda given me 2nd place in ESP.

I am always open to advice; however, your bedside manner sucks.

I'm pretty happy with the setup as is, a few guys have driven my car and given it a thumbs up, that includes Tom Berry.

Tom Berry is a friend of mine and is not all that. We work together in the Ferrari and Lamboghini gig and I constantly see him plow cones.

If he's your friend, do you really think he'd appreciate you talking about him like that? Is that you I see at the top of the PAX? Hmm.. don't see you anywhere here. Interesting. When were you solo driver of eminence?

Listen, it is clear that you are knowledgeable on suspension setup. However, when you can talk to someone like Sam Strano, Casey C. or Mark Madarash, or even Tom Berry (who drove ESP with a Camaro SS) whom are willing to give advice on car setup and driving without an awful attitude, what makes you think me, or anyone else, wants to listen to you? Their bona fides more than supports their advice.

Every one of them Knows me well. maybe you should ask them about me. You the *** that insulted me dipshit. You have a rude ****ing mouth and I shut it up one day very soon.

Look close enough and you'll happen to notcie both Casey and Tom in this picture with me. You're naive kid- wet behind the ears. And your driving sucks too. Learn a little respect before you think you are race god

I didn't actually insult you; I mocked you after you lost your mind. I won't ever deny that you are a good driver and have good suspension knowledge, but there are just so many NICER people to get that advice from.

With some anger management you could actually be an asset to everyone on TGO; instead you just **** people off and can't stand it when people deviate from your master plan. Like in this thread; all I did was tell the guy what I was running, to add to the list of options to consider. I didn't tell him he HAD to run my EXACT setup.

Also, I've never, ever, ever claimed to be a good driver. I'll always be the first to tell anyone who asks that I suck. You're the one who inferred that I think that about myself... which I don't.

For the sake of OP I won't be replying to you anymore in this thread.

Re: Auto X springs?

That's what I do little boy. I antagonise people and get under their skin until they get so frustrated I finally get them to the track and take their lunch money in a race. And when they don't pay up I throw their as in a dumpster for playing with the big boys and not paying. While all of you are out playing around in the amatuer leagues of autox, I deal the the million dollar lineups and 8000 fans in the crowd. Keep praising your autox giants over me.

STG, are those the recommended spring rates for weight jacks on a IROC?
