New Best Time

Went to Atco this week and went 10.73@126. 60' time was 1.47 car weighed 3209 with driver.

A little history on the car....

Last time out was 3 years ago and it went 11.15@122 with a 1.54 60' time

Car weighed 3565. 1991 firebird, 406 sbc 11.7:1 motor with old non-eliminator, non-ported AFR 210's, solid roller 248/248 on 110 0.625/0.625 lift, TPIS miniram, TH350 5000 stall, 4.33 rear gears on 28x10 Hoosiers.

Over the past 3 years, took 350 lbs. out of it. Here is what changed

Holley EFI with Holley Dash
everything behind factory dash is gone
complete rewire of car
minitubbed
new moly 10 point cage
racecraft k-member and a-arms
front coil overs
converted rear spring to smaller diameter
16v electrical system with alternator
strange drag brakes on all 4 corners
converter to manual brakes
tubular steering column
Jaz aluminum seats
Billet Specialties rims all around 15x4 front 15x10 rear 6.5BS with beadlocks
Optic Armor windshield

360 lbs of weight reduction and 3 1/2 tenths quicker. The old math seems to hold true. One tenth for every one hundred pounds.

Yeah I was using that as my benchmark when tuning the fuel and timing tables for the Holley EFI. I wanted to get within 3 tenths of the old time when I was done based on the weight reduction.
