if you are planing to build a new motor i woudl suggest looking into a crate motor if you wanna go 13's. the one that i like the looks of right now is the 350 Vortech HO. it puts out 330hp. once tuned in that is plenty to put a normal weight f-body well into the 13's. a buddy of mien did the motor swap in place of a 305TBI motor and went 102mph. the whole key will be traction since the motor makes tons of torque.
with a little suspension and some gears(3.42's or 3.73's woudl be nice) you could go mid 13's.
the long block is just under $2000 and you would need to get a new intake to match the heads, edelbrock makes a performer RPM intake that works great.

which mnotor do you have. if you have a 350 you can already run a low 14(14.4-14.2 prolly) so all you really need is to do a bit of simple stuff to run mid 13's. get a cold air intake(SLP makes a really nice one for your car), an airfoil for the throttle body, a full exhaust, and soem traction stuff and you shoudl be golden. if you get a good torque convertor(aroudn 3000 stall) and sopme 3.73's you will kill him and prolly run in the 13.6 - 13.3 range

i haven't had it to the track yet. i was supposed to go but i turned the key and heard the thunder of nothing
i actually nuked my old accel 300+ box some how while it was on teh shelf. i got a complete MSD set up now and it is sweet. i am gonan get the car prepared for the opening of e-town on march 2nd. i have a grudge runs coming from a long winter of bench racing
the car is strong though, i still hafta redo the rear with the spool and 4.09's and finish the suspension so i can hook perfect. then i will be working out a chip with jprevost and getting a new convertor to take advantage of the awesome torque the car has.
the next set of numbers i will be letting out of the bag will likely be the trip to the dyno i am plannign in about a month the goal is 300+hp and 375ft/lbs at the wheels. i thihnk it is a realistic goal for my combo(at least desktop dyno says it is ).
i will also be continuing the diet i have had the car on in an effort to get the race weight close to or under 3000lbs race weight.
shoudl be a formula to be solidly into the 12's.

sounds like youre making some serious progress...those would be some damn impressive numbers from a 305. Are those still on the stock heads?

Thanks for the update...youre one of the guys Im always looking for posts from. Very impressive ride- Keep up the good work
