Cmon guys!
Dont let the 4th gen guys push us around!! Show up and defend some 3rd gen honor! There werent many of us last year and this year the rules have really been opened up to allow carbureted cars as well!
Speaking of the rules, I am on the rules committe and I can vouch for the fact that we have been hammering out the rules the past couple weeks and things are looking REALLY good! I think that any who comes will appreciate the time and effort being put in to this year's event.
Hope to see some of you guys there this August!

Well its in Cordova. I cant see it being a terribly long drive for you. A few hours at most? Its like a 6-7 hour drive for me.

Carbed big blocks too Miles.
But if your sprayin, you better be packin! Big Blocks in some classes get penalized with weight adders and a big block on the gun will be stuck in with the big dogs.

Well.. judging via map.. it looks like it's about 1,000 miles from here to there. probably closer to 1050 given the usual BS.
2000-2100 miles is a bit far for me to stomach, whilst trying to get a business of the ground.
Maybe next year.

I plan on being there, just a little concerned about a few minor things that may not pass tech like no horn, wipers, turn signals. Sionce youre a board member of NFRA can you shed a little light on how strict tech is going to be on this stuff?

You have to go to the message board. The rules are posted inthe individual forums for now since they are still preliminary. They are pretty solid though.

I would go but 2 reasons say it ain't gonna happen.
As of right now, from Columbus Ohio, it would be a 500 mile drive. That really isn't so bad except for the fact that I'll actually be in New Jersey this summer so tack on another 500+ miles not to mention I'd have to miss a lot of work and co-op jobs don't usually like you taking off more than a week (already have plans for a vacation),
. If it was in the spring or closer to Columbus I probably would try and make it. Oh well, maybe next year.

I guess I could drive out and my brother could drive back. He's really into that stuff so we'll see. Good news on the car building front. My brother's '84 Z almost has the whole cage in it now. It's pretty sweet, the guy put in ladder bars and a full rear frame with the cage. That 9" should work pretty good behind his 383. If we can get a big *** trailer and a truck from work I'll definately be there with both cars.
