since i will probably never get enough money to build up a 350 i was wondering what you guys think a 305 with about 300hp and about the same torque do

cuz there was an article where thats what they got.....and i was just wondering

i've got 3.73 gears...automatic.....with the stock 190hp and 240torque i run a 15.9(with a bog)

if this combo wont get mid 14's then i will just keep savin for the 350

 

14's are easy withthat kind of power. i was going 14.2's @ 96mph with about 220hp at the wheels(calculated, i never had my car on a dyno). i am sure you coudl see similar results if youcan hook.

my 305 makes about 300 hp at the flywheel. i have a 5 speed with 3.73 gear. my guees is a high 13 based on the cars I've street raced. Too bad i never got it to the track before the axle and tranny broke.

 

HOW MUCH WOULD YOU BE LOOKIN TO SPEND ON A 350? THE 357 WHICH I WAS GOING TO PUT IN MY CAR HAS LIKE 8 MILES ON IT ALL IT NEEDS ARE HEADS, OIL PAN, INTAKE, AND A CARB

IM ASKIN $800 YOUD JUST NEED TO PICK IT UP. IT HAS A NEW CAM IN IT TOO. I JUST NEED THE MONEY TO FIX THE BODY ON MY CAR. I WONT BE ABLE TO TAKE MONTHLY PAYMENT BUT IF YOU REALLY WANT IT I CAN HOLD IT FOR YOU UNTIL YOU GET THE MONEY.

I DONT KNOW WHAT THE SPECS OF THE CAM ARE BUT WHEN IT WAS RUNNING AT MY BUDDIS HOUSE IT SOUNDED LIKE A DRAG CAR. ILL ASK HIM NEXT TIME I TALK TO HIM IF HE REMEMBERS.
