What should I run in the 1/4?
My specs are in my sig, I'm thinking low 13's with traction and maybe high 12's with headers, no cats and the right conditions. What do you think?

Read the message "take it to the track". If you want a guess then assuming the car and driver are around 3500 pounds and you quote having 257 RWHP, I say it'll run 13.9

I will not be running slicks but I can drive the car good and the car is about 3500lb's with me. I think it should be faster than 13.9 because I raced a my friends 2000 LS1 Trans Am Auto with 3.73's, cold air intake, Hypertech programer, MAF, and Free mods. We were dead even at 80 mph and than we shut down, I know he would have pulled away if we kept going because the LS1 breaths much better than the TPI, so I know my car should run atleast low 13's as is. Stock LS1's have broken into the 12's on stock tires.

If you think it will run quicker than 13.9 then either the car is much lighter or you have more than 257 RWHP.
I have to agree with Stephen this once, you will probably only get a high 13 on street tires. My car can run right with the new Camaro's on the street too and I could only get a low 14 at the track. The LS1 Camaro's where I am at only get high 13's on street tires even with experienced drivers (guys with other cars that pull of 10's and 11's), with average drivers low 14's like mine. With all of that torque and no slicks you will have a very tough time getting traction, my 60 ft. times were in the 2.5-2.6 area all traction related. The good news is that with slicks you should pick up about .6 in the quarter. Good luck!!

I understand what you guys are saying about traction, it's a hell of a car to launch. How well do BFG or Nitto drag radials hold up. Does any one know if the G-tech pro is as accurate as they say? Thank you for your relpys.
