Third Brake Light bulbs

ok i went to radio shack today, and got 5 bulbs.

part # 272-1177 (thanks lance)

worked like a charm, and only $1.99/bulb vs $10.72/bulb at napa.

Glad to help. I replied to the other thread before seeing this one. Just shows how much the autoparts stores rape their customers!!!

So there are five bulbs in the third brake light?

there are inn the spoiler mounted ones on camaros.
your gta is probably diffrent (good old GM) probably uses diffrent bulbs too

I just thought of something...

You didn't touch the bulbs with your bare fingers did you? If so, take them back out and clean them with alcohol or something that won't leave any residue. If you don't, the oil from your fingers will almost certainly cause the bulbs to burn out quickly. This is true of all Halogen bulbs including headlights, foglights, and indoor home lighting.

Well, I do have a few mods up my sleeve coming soon. But those are secrets for now.... You'll like 'em tho I promise! I may not actually ge those lights dewey. I'm contemplating LED's. Found some Formula's to use so I can do it.

yes lance, i installed them using a paper towel ;-)

i too have though about diving into LED's. that will come later when i come up with some custom look for the back end ;-)
