Re: Official Washington thread
Thanks!!! I'm anxious to get started working on them, just wish the weather would co-operate so I can get the things I need to do first done. The ventura has grown on me. I really wanted a Nova of that year but I couldn't pass this up. I figured it was pretty much a Nova with a different front end so it's all good, and it's a car that you don't see very often.
When the time comes, I'll post up the date of the beater brunch and hope to see ya there.

Hail Washingtonians! I'm in Kalama, just south of Longview/Kelso and own a 1991 Z28. It has a goodwrench crate engine, various other mods, the most recent being a remote starter switch for the finicky starter problems. I also just got done swapping in a T56, i'm now a happy man. It's my daily driver, i put about 1800mi a month on this thing and get between 20-23 mpg's.
My next project will be a 67 convertible camaro, once both my dad and my brother decide to sell it to me. The way things are looking, that could happen alot sooner than later! I try not to get too excited, smashing things with a hammer helps calm me down.
I also own a 70 RS, had some head work and fresh cam installed but its gonna be something that I end up handing down to my son to work on. I think my daughter will end up with the 91, it's more her style lol.

Just about 30 minutes or so down HWY 16 from me. I know of a few up and down the I-5 corridor, one or two in Port Orchard, a couple here in Bremerton and Poulsbo.

Not sure if I should start a new thread, but anyways, the PNWCC Beater Brunch is this Saturday at Jimmy Jacks Restaurant, 13428 Highway 99, Everett WA. It is a car show for project vehicles. I think we are going to be take my girlfriend's orange 78 Camaro to the show this year. Unfortunately, none of my rigs are driveable right now.
Re: Official Washington thread
hey all! I live in Kent. I just got a 83 Firebird a couple of months ago. Haven't done much to it yet (money). But I love it.
I'd love to meet up with any of you that are close. I'm basically dumb with cars (but am slowly learning). I actually looking to do exhaust (headers, cat, muffler). Any recommendations on where to go to do this?
I'll post pictures when I get home.

Re: Official Washington thread
Ya i've been researching...I think I want the Spintech for my muffler. Then I think it's Magnaflow for the high flow cat. And hooker headers. I have no idea what is on there now. I know the guy I bought it from did some stuff but not sure what exactly. Even parts are confusing (for me) because of the different sizes and crap. Not sure what size pipes I have or if I want different/new pipes and if so, what size lol. so much to learn

Re: Official Washington thread
spintech sounds really good! just get a tape measure and measure the exhaust exit from one side to the other IF theres not a tip on it. if you have aftermarker pipes from the cat back and there not rusted I would leave those be. no need to replace piping thats good.

I think it was a couple years ago I went to the show and someone there had brought the parts they had currently accumulated for a project and set them up in a parking space....IIRC there was a rear axle, front wheels, fenders, and some body parts.

Re: Official Washington thread
Laura, JTS' girlfriend.
Current rides are in my signature.
If you see a 1978 Camaro that is Orange above the body line and black below the body line, then you've seen my baby and either Joe or I are driving it.
Editing cause my signature isn't there with the list of cars.
1990 RS Camaro V6 auto, daily driver, white
1985 diesel Chevy Suburban 4x4, 4 inch lift, 35 inch tires, black and grey, another daily driver
1983 diesel Chevy short bed 4x4, two tone brown, needs engine and tranny swap
1983 Chevy 1 ton non dually Camper Special 350, white with brown, camping rig
1983 Z28 305, 5 speed, blue, Joe's current toy
1978 Camaro, turning into a Z28, 350 roller cam & lifters, vortech heads, 795 cfm Rochester, auto, Orange and black, next on my project list
1972 Ventura, white for now, needs complete build
1972 Baja Bug, not done needs complete build
1967 Suburban 2 wheel drive, needs complete build
1954 Chevy 3800 series stake side dually, all original, need to make move under own power. Eventually will have oil bath 350, power steering and breaks, and an auto, with a lift bed.
Past rides:
1976 Camaro Type LT, my first car, sunroof 305 car, hope to find it again
1977 Nova, 305
Nothing else really worth mentioning, lol.

Official Chevrolet Pace car book
If its a 4 disc brake car it should be in there. if not you can get it added to the list.
I owned the number 3 car listed in the book at one point in time. even though the vin number in the book was a misprint, instead of a 8 they had an A
