Yellow Trans Am

If you drive down highway 99 going towards the border you'll see a 1969 yellow Trans Am sitting in a farmers field beside a barn
I think it used to be parked at some garage at the corner of 120th and 96th streets.
Does anyone here own it or know who owns it.
Willing to sell?

Car: '89 Firebird
Engine: 7.0L
Transmission: T56
I'm shooting from the hip here, but weren't all '69 Trans Ams white with blue stripes... not to mention very rare?

No way is it a 69 1/2 TA,but hey it may be.i've seen on some websites some pretty ugly paint jobs on like 20th ann TTA.But chances are it is not a 69 1/2 TA.

1/2 the trans am came out half way through the year thus they are 1969 1/2 TA

Yeah I guess it could be Just a Firebird, but still would be an intersting restoration.

Actually QwkTrp, you are half right, the first year (half-year) T/A's were either white with blue stripes, or blue with white stripes. The blue color was called Lucerne Blue also. Don't have the exact numbers handy, but yes, there were very few of them made.

Either way, even if it IS 'just a Firebird' with T/A clone parts on it, it would definitely make a nice resto.

Too bad it's prob. out of my price range too, I'd love to have it just to make sure it got _something_ done to it to keep it out of the crusher!

I just can't believe all the *******s out there that won't sell.

Hey Poncho, just opened up that link about cars in barns and had to add it to my husbands favorites folder. That is really sad people let their stuff get that far gone.
My husband loves the old Mopar stuff and the Chevelle stuff is what he really needs for our 69' resto/clone 396 SS. Thanks for posting the link!
