Iroc Rims... should I buy?

I found a set of Iroc rims with tread for sale. The guys Asking $300 Canadian, and I figure it's a good price. I still have to check them out first hand, but I'm sure they'll be fine. They are only 15" Rims, but my RS Rims are only 15" also, so it doesn't bug me much. I plan on getting them, so I can polish them, then put them on the car. It is my daily driver, so I can't just take em off to polish. You all think this is a good idea, or should I say forget it?

Any opinions would help,
Jay

That's a great price. With tread, too. Hope they are in good condition. I want to polish a set too, so post pics when you're done if you get the chance. Good luck!

Since they are the more or less unwanted '89-90 15" IROC wheels, if that was US dollars I'd say it is definately too high. Personally I'd say $200 US would be stretching it (without tires). Don't know the current exchange rate. If the tires are almost new, and a quality brand that may be an alright price, though. But if the tires have less than 1/2 tread, I wouldn't consider the tires as part of the price.

Blue... Do you think this would be a better deal? I also found 16" Iroc Rims for $500. '95 Camaro rims for $450 (dont like em though). The 16" rims are from an 86 Iroc. Turns out the ones for $300 are RS Rims, no Iroc rims. So I dunno about that one, that's what I have now. $500 for 16", you think I should go for it? The only other ones I've seen in the last 6 months were $750 bucks. Both of em have no tires.

Wow, I'd only give about $125 US for a set of RS rims. The prices on IROC wheels really varies, one day you may pick a set up cheap and the next day they are expensive, so $500 cdn is probably ok if they are in real nice shape. Check eBay if you want to see IROC wheel prices, there are usually several sets or individual wheels on there at a time. Remember that rubber for the 16s costs a quite a bit more than for 15s, but the difference in handling is worth every penny imho.

The 15" 5-star early Z28 wheels and RS wheels with the black plastic center cap arent worth a heck of a lot. $300 is too much unless the tires are great. The 16" iroc wheels however are worth a lot more money and look a lot better. $500 is about the usual price but hopefully you're getting a deal and they have good rubber on them.
