IROC all back together and....

CODE 34. MAF as far as what about the MAF I don't know. but I know it's a MAF code. haha

Check out www.nhsta.dot.gov I was serching there yesterday & found a service buletin pertaining to either code 34 or 36 (MAF). Something to do with the PCV tube being plugged & causing the code

thanks but I've fixed it. the plug wasn't all the way connecting. But my timings way off and I'm not very good and setting timing.

Well, at least you got it back together. Did you go ahead and do the valve seals on the heads? Also, if you got a timing light, you should be able to easily do it.

If not, doing it by ear isnt hard either. I got good at that on my trips to and from Wyoming on my Z28.

Well I've never been good at it and yes I redid the seals.

Hey, John... When you do your timing you're supposed to ground a couple terminals in your data link to disengage the vacuum advance. I'm not sure what terminals they are but I thought I'd mention this in case you didn't know.

Yeah, You ground A and B the same ones that make the SES light flash your codes. But you do it with the car running.
