Craiger.... what did you do for your motor?
I just gotta know what you did for your short block. What did the tech people say? Did you choose a cam yet?
Instead of a 383, I decided to build a strong short block, forged crank, rods and hyperU pistons, mollly rings, and still not sure of a cam? I was told to get a custom ground 212/212 on 114 LCA. But I have not decied yet? The AFR heads should make a HUGE difference.

Cam sounds reasonable. BUT GET THE FORGED PISTONS!!!!! I can't stress this enough! You are building a motor for a supecharged application. Forged pistons are a MUST. Think about it. A custom motor with AFR heads, supercharger, and cast pistons. You will be so limited. Don't constrain yourself to low boost and the fear of predetonation.
I just put 2G down on my shortblock! Forged pistons, crank, rods, balanced, flex plate, cam...212/212 on 114lca, and of course the AFR heads
with 1.6 roller rockers. Wonder what my new 1/4et's will be? Best on the stock engine was 12.8. I'm hoping to be able to get into the 11's

No. That's a very mild cam. The extra power you'll get from that cam is due to increased engine efficiency which will result in better gas mileage. In fact, your entire motor will be more efficient. I got 26 mpg with my Vette.
