Got T5 in.

But the wh*re grinds in second gear. All the other gears are fine. I guess I get to take it out and tear it back down. I hate it when that happens. I'll definately be getting better gas mileage. Instead of being at 4000 on the tach at 60 mph I'm at about 26-2700 rpm's. That'll definately be nice. It is cool though. I love it. Just gotta get 2nd gear fixed and I'll be happy.

Congrats Brad! Seems like everyone is switching to manual trannies. Maybe I should look into getting a used T56 or something...

I'm keeping an eye out for a T56. Should'nt be too hard to slap in now that I got everything converted. I've never seen any of them around here though. Manuals are fun though...

Awesome man, sucks its gotta come out though. Think in mine came in and out a couple times more than I would have liked. But all the work is well worth being able to shift gears again. What gears ya have?

I'm sticking with the 700r! I had a 6 speed in my vett for 6 long years. Its nice to be able to eat and drive in rush hour traffic, although, I rarely drive in those conditions. And Its a lot easier to drag race with the auto's

Auto's still aren't nearly as fun as a stick though I'll take more fun to drive daily/to from the track and at the track over a little extra consistancy anyday

I have 3:42's in the rear and I'm not sure what gears are in the tranny. I was reading that 1984 T5's take gear lube. So I'm gonna put that in and hope it fixes that grind. If not. Out it comes.
