A little Appearance Mod I did....

I dunno if anyone has done this before, but, I was sitting here thinking (scary I know) and came up with this idea. At first, I was going to put "WS6" or "Trans Am" but, I thought that would be kinda redundant seeing as how it does say Trans Am all over the exterior of the car, but, no where does it say Pontiac. So, I pulled the 3rd brake light lense off, and started sanding. I sanded it smooth to get the bumps off, then wetsanded, and basically its reverse decal. I layed out the letters, put two thin coats of paint on it, and then one coat of a Laquer clear coat on it. I took these pics with my video camera, so they quality isnt the best, but, you get the idea. I actually have one more little appearance mod to do, but, its raining right now. Pics of that later....

At night

During the Day

It came out looking kinda funny in these pics, but it was raining, so who knows....

So, whatcha guys think?!

That is cool! though I'd rather it was a little light up thing in the middle of the tail lights, but that is very cool.

I like it, reminds me of the Fiero GT. Remember the center had "ponitac" that lit up with the running lights.

The Fiero has that? LOL.. I didnt know that.. the only fiero Ive even been around was my friends 84 in High school.

I was thinking about wiring it so that it works like the taillights i.e dim while on, and bright when the brake are applied. Wouldnt be to hard to do I dont think....

Since your brake light only has one filament it's really not possible. It could be done by running, say, 7 volts to it, but you would burn it out earlier.

Well, yeah, I wouldnt run that with the same light, there is quite abit of room inside there to wire up something else actually. Ive been tossing around the idea for awhile. I actually have another idea which sort of falls in the same category as this.. we'll see what happens with that in a week or so.

So you mean those Ricers that but SPYDER across the side of their car aren't rice? Or the ones that have HKS, Eibrach, NOS and stickers up to ying yang down the side of the car aren't rice either? Wow... I thought that was a requirement to be rice

People that want to put Ram Air hoods on 3.1L V6 cars have no reason to talk about Rice!

LOL, just playing devils advocate. You got me on that one Joe, but what happens when it ends up on a 350? Is it okay then?

Yeah, Ricers do take it to the next level... I think if Joe, or anyone, had one that said WS6 all across his hood and TRANS AM at an angle over the entire side of the door and quarter panel I could truthfully call it rice, but I actually like the WS6 stickers
