Camaro stuck in Central WA
At the end of summer, my 91 Camaro and I were headed back to the west side of Washington from Spokane, when the unthinkable happened. The 305 finally gave its last breath, and proceeded to sieze up and dump oil 200 miles from home. I was being deployed to Asia with the Army (Fort Lewis) just 2 short weeks later, and due to lack of funds, had to flatbed her to a local storage unit in Moses Lake. I returned from said deployment just a few weeks ago, and want to get my car up and running. The issue? Its 200 miles from home, 100 miles from Spokane. I talked to Moses Lake Chevy dealers, but they were quoting $7000+ for a low output engine installed. Found a place in spokane for much cheaper, just needing to find a way to get it over there. I have family in spokane to drop her at, but 100+ miles on a flatbed would cost a pretty penny. Any ideas or experiences fellow PNW owners?

Re: Camaro stuck in Central WA
Scrapping is not an option to me, as I have rebuilt most of the car mechanically. Fully rebuilt wc t5, rebuilt rear with 3.42 and torsen posi from a 97 ws6, new springs, various suspension parts. Engine was pretty much the last mechanical part to tackle, just didnt get to it in time.

Just an option....Do you have a friend with a truck? If so, go to U-Haul, rent car trailer, go get it and bring it home (your home), and return the trailer.
Might be cheapest....gas and rental money

you can rent the trailer AND the truck from U-Haul or one of the others. not an expensive option considering the $7000 alternative.

We rolled my friends 80 camaro onto the uhaul trailer, it was his girl inside steering and then three pushing. just a slight hill and some manpower can move quite a bit.

Re: Camaro stuck in Central WA
If you dolly it, with the back tires on the ground, disconnect the driveshaft, dont want anything else going wrong possibly, or you can put the front down, but thats funny looking..
