Have not talked in a while

Hey, how is every one. Been busy and have not had time to talk to anyone. Looks like the gathering was fun, wish I could have made it. No way my car would have made it. Rebuiding the engine right now and changing the transmission out for a TH350. Plan on making one of your future gatherings for sure. Any how just thought I would say hi.

hey our cars kind of look the same except that all of your wheels are the same color. What is a good way to get the paint off of wheels and polish them.

i have never done it, but i head people use airplane stipper, to get the paint off, i think there is a tech article on polishing wheels, you might check that out.

I'm taking the paint off mine right now, and I got the aircraft paint stripper from Lordco Auto Parts... but out there, it would be Walmart that has the stuff you need. I can't believe how good that stuff works, but man you gotta make sure you're wearing rubber gloves and don't get it on ya. That is strong stuff

The 305 TPI and 700R4 were replaced by an older 350 and TH200(yuk). I'm putting in a TH350 and warming up the 350 but it is a 2 bolt main and nobody seems to agree on how much you can do with it. I gor some pictures on the CC site. I used a paint remover on two wheels but it still left them with a blue tint. I think that I can polish them out, spent all day on one and it looked like it had been spray painted with aluminum paint. Think I'll wait until I can afford a set of IROC wheels. Thanks for the kind words and talk at ya later.

Dont worry about the 2 bolt main. Factory 4 bolts really arent that much stronger. Theyre suppose to be safe to the 450hp range at least. Besides you could always buy a set of splayed caps and have them installed. This would be stronger than a factory 4 bolt.
