R U staying at the Hale Koa? If so, the Sunday buffett is pretty good, heh.

I think this is a great opportunity to have you and other 3rdGen guys come over to my place in Aiea on a Sat or Sun for a BYOB & Grilling session!

We could have a day of talking smack about cars and watch some DVD car movies on 16x9 -- Vanishing Point [watch the FB go boom], both versions of Gone in 60 Seconds, Le Mans, Driven, and others.

Nah, but on waikiki, just the same, only cheaper. I can get on bases though, being AIR FORCE.
The BBQ sounds like a plan.... It wouls kick *** to be around some fellow "Geners". I get alot of kudos for building the T/A over here, but no one will ever help out. Guess they get no RIDE.

Oh and for what it's worth a 1992 25th anniv ed. convertible just hit the island. It is sparcely loaded, but has about 45,000 miles. NEW paint, LB9, AUTO, Disc rear, and all hotchkis suspension stuff......
all for about 3000, with the exchange rate. I can't have more than 2 cars, by regulation, or i'd jump on it.
Oh well T-TOPS rule.

I don't know of anything off the top of my head, but maybe a few of us could make some junkyard runs since your AF.

We need to get another meet together anyway.

Darn, I've get the hots for a 3rd gen convertable, sigh. I've got space to store one for future use if necessary.

Can arrangements be made to have it sent to me?

I'll send you a PM with my cell phone, so when you hit Oahu give me a call. You're welcome weekdays after 5 p.m. to hang around my place. I'm kinda retired, so some of the 20-something-guys like my son or Scott would be more into social scenes other than stay-at-home-and-guzzle-rum-and-cokes while BBQing and watching movies, heh.

Up to you dude. How long will you be here?

Anyway, I'd like to have the 3rd Gen guys over for some BBQ, it's a good excuse to fire up the hibachi and crack some brews.

I work for the Army at Schofield, 808-655-4376, but I worked 3 years at PACAF a while ago.

Cheers,
Ed

Shawn or I might be hitting one of the salvage yards this weekend, depending on the weather. Heh, there's nothing quite like clumping around with 20-pounds of mud stuck to each shoe.

Or we might do Pizza Bob's in Haleiwa...

What do you need?

Here's our rain-drenched visitors next to the Duck-mobile.

So nice to see a face with a name! I'm leaving for a week to Florida (I only wish I could rent a third-gen from a rental place...!) this Sunday so I'll be even more out of the loop then I already am.

scoot, i want to touch base with you. I neeed to get some pics of an assembled enigne bay. If we can hook up as part of a saturday thing that would be great. I have an 89 T/A so i think most pics will be useful. Look forward to saturday. I will get back to the computer at like 12-1pm on friday. I am staying in the HAWAII POLO INN downtown. THE ROOM IS 1603, if you try to call. I will be around later on today. I dunno your numbers so this may be that best way. thanks shawn

Do you mean, assembled bays minus the engine? If so, there are a few others (better ones) on this site somewhere.

Or do you mean complete engine bays with factory wiring & routing?

Saturday sounds good. I'm supposed to pick up a 1le rear in Ewa beach this weekend if the seller calls me back. Though, he probably sold it to someone else already.

Who else is free this weekend? Ed? Anthony? Keola?

Here is a recent a pic of me and my friend in late June, a couple years later, and a few pounds heavier. But I think that has somthing to do with the coma and all that. but i'm tring to work them off, I go to the gym at least 5 days a week. So i'm working on it.

I have a few pics from the other week while I was in Colorado. Obviously, none with my 'bird, but I think I've got a few of me on a horse and in my uncle's '29 or '30 ford model... A? Damnit, don't know my ford models....

When I get to my dad's place I should find them.

Leavin' work now, and I don't have a computer so if you guys wanted to get together maybe tomorrow give me a buzz. I don't mind meetin' in the morning... but I'm usually in no condition to drive too early on a saturday morning... at least not after my usual friday nights!

Take it easy,
Scott

Yep, that's the way it turned out! Shawn and I took the IROC out to Pizza Bobs, Haleiwa and attacked a large "Roberto's Deluxe" and Sam Adams gave us a visit too...

Was nice to see you later on in the day to watch ******!

Cheers,
Ed
